Project overview

During keyword research it was observed that the ICP was looking for influencers with various combinations which revolved around location and niche. To target these queries on SERP it was essential to create a project that generated programmatic pages based on combination of niche and location.

To achieve the outcome I had to scope the technology and competencies required for the project to be successful and following are the things I observed:

Interacting with Custom API 

This was essential as all the first party data about the Influencers was directly fetched from the Custom API which could be further categorized into lists of Influencer for every programmatic page.

WP-CLI 

This helped in automating the publishing of pages directly on wordpress upon creation.

Interacting with OpenAI API

This was to write content for every programmatic page that was being built, to help search engines understand the context of the page.

Conclusion

After two versions of programmatic pages published and seeing amazing ROI there were few learnings on what the next version of the page could be. The wayforward focuses on duplicating the similar effort however targeting different intent of keywords which ICP is looking for.

After Jan 2023, the CPC within ICP countries kept rising by 25% which made the campaigns overall ineffective when it came to ROI, after trying multiple channels to generate B2B sales it was observed that the old ways of creating campaigns were not working. Thus I started experimenting with PMAX with first party leads and conversion data, this data helped trained AI to understand the personas as the data kept feeding the campaigns via Audience Signal that what kind of users should it target to show ads and spend on placements accordingly.

Here we can see the whole process being simplified where the PMAX campaign is learning from Salesforce Data, keyword targeting, geography targeting all combined into one.

Project overview

Upfluence was a well known platform when it came to niche however from discovery POV it did not have many campaigns, because it was not a +ve ROI route. To make discovery more affordable SEO was the path that was the best, after Google release the HCU it was evident that SEO should not focus on what’s right for search engine instead it should focus on what do the majority of the users want when it comes to Utilities, thus Free Tools section was born on Upfluence which worked alongside the amazing Upfluence API and helped users with free data, making it a ‘honey pot’ page. Later on I used various methods to acquire leads/calls and overall making it one of the best traffic drivers on the website

To achieve this it was quite simple, I had to build a middleware that spoke to the PHP code on the corporate website and interacted with the Upfluence API based on user input. This can be achieved fairly easily by using the AWS Lambda function.

Conclusion

Using this method I was able to create 15+ tools and there are more in the pipeline, these tools not only help with discovery among potential people learning the subject of influencer marketing but also brings in direct buyers. As they discover how useful these tools are, and whatever they experienced through these free tools was nothing but the tip of the iceberg.
